The Cleveland Guardians and Seattle Mariners will take the field on Sunday at T-Mobile Park. First pitch from Seattle is at 1:10 p.m. ET. The Mariners are -125 moneyline favorites and the game total is 7.5 runs.
Cal Quantrill will get the starting nod for Cleveland. The 28-year-old went 15-5 with a 3.38 ERA and 1.21 WHIP in 32 starts last season.
Seattle will send lefty Marco Gonzales to the mound. The 31-year-old was 10-15 with a 4.13 ERA and 1.33 WHIP in 32 starts last season.
The Mariners won game one of the series 3-0 and Cleveland responded with a 9-4 victory on Friday.
The Guardians bounced back on Friday with a resounding 9-4 victory. Steven Kwan knocked in five runs for Cleveland, contributing a two-run double, a two-run single, and a sacrifice fly. They also took advantage of some poor defense by Seattle, which lead to five unearned runs.
“Our base running was excellent. We made them fight for everything,” Cleveland manager Terry Francona said. “Zunino got in the way of that throw and I know that’s not by design, but that really helped us. Our base running then took over from there and really helped.”

Cleveland had plenty of opportunities, with 13 hits and eight walks. It was 6-for-17 with runners in scoring position and left 12 runners on base. Hunter Gaddis only gave the Guardians 3.2 innings, allowing five hits and four runs. The bullpen did its job, though, holding the Mariners to two hits and two walks the rest of the ball game.
Sunday's starter Quantrill has not faced the M's too often in his career. A former first-round selection of San Diego, he has pitched against Seattle twice, with one start to his credit. In his lone start last season, he pitched three innings, giving up five hits and two earned runs in a 6-3 Seattle victory.
