Cleveland Guardians at San Diego Padres – 8/24/22 MLB Picks and Prediction

The Cleveland Guardians and San Diego Padres face off on Wednesday in an MLB game at Petco Park. On Tuesday it was the Guardians that were able to secure the 3-1 victory.

Cleveland comes into this game with a 65-56 record overall and on Tuesday they again had good pitching, and that was the difference as they were able to secure the victory. The Guardians stats haven’t been all that impressive for how good their record is. Cleveland is averaging 4.34 runs per game which is 16th in baseball. Jose Ramirez has hit 23 home runs and driven in 99 RBIs.

The Padres come into this game with a 68-57 record overall and in each of their last five games they have scored three runs or less. The Padres made some big trades at the deadline, but they haven’t been good enough with all the moves they made. The Padres strength this season has been the pitching giving up 3.99 runs per game. Juan Soto is dealing with black tightness and it’s unclear if he will be able to go in this game.
