The Cleveland Cavaliers will try to snap their two-game losing streak when they face the Golden State Warriors on Friday night. Cleveland had won eight games in a row prior to its losses against the Clippers and Kings earlier this week. Golden State is off to a terrible start this season, but it was able to pick up a win against Sacramento on Monday night.
Cleveland has been one of the most impressive teams in the NBA so far this season, even after suffering consecutive losses to the Clippers and Kings earlier this week. The Cavaliers lost to Toronto in their season opener before rattling off eight wins in a row, including a pair of upset victories over Boston. They made a big splash in the offseason when they acquired star guard Donovan Mitchell from Utah, and that move has paid dividends so far. Mitchell has led the team in scoring in each of the last three games, pouring in 38 points against the Kings on Wednesday.

He is averaging 31.9 points, 5.8 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game. Point guard Darius Garland has only played in five games due to an injury, but all five of those contests have come this month. He made a limited impact against the Kings on Wednesday, scoring six points in 34 minutes. However, Garland leads the team with 8.4 assists per game. Center Jarrett Allen is averaging a double-double with 14.1 points and 11.7 rebounds, while Evan Mobley is adding 15.3 points. The Cavaliers rank ninth in the NBA in scoring, averaging 116.6 points per game. They are facing a Golden State defense that has been awful, listed at No. 29 in points allowed (120.6).
