Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-23-2022

The Baltimore Ravens (3-3) will host the Cleveland Browns (2-4) on Sunday in an AFC North matchup. Last year these teams split the season series with the home team winning each time. Although Cleveland beat the Ravens 24-22 as a three-point favorite on Dec. 12, Baltimore has covered the spread in five straight head-to-head meetings.

The Browns are once again underperforming as they enter Baltimore on a three-game losing streak. Last Sunday, the Browns were a 2.5-point home favorite against the Patriots but lost 38-15. As bad as things look, no team in the AFC North is better than .500, so the Browns are just one game out of first place. Cleveland leads the NFL with 172 rushing yards per game, led by Nick Chubb, who leads the league with 649 yards and seven touchdowns. As great as Chubb has been, the Ravens have been a challenging matchup for him in the past. In 2021 Chubb had his lowest yards-per-carry average against the Ravens, totaling 75 rushing yards on 25 attempts over two games. Brown fill-in quarterback Jacoby Brissett is 10th in QBR on the season but has struggled over the losing streak, throwing four interceptions and just two touchdowns over the last three games.

Although the offense overall is ranked fifth in total yards per game, the defense has been a disappointment allowing 361.3 yards per game which ranks 23rd, and 27.2 ppg which is 30th. The Browns are also beaten up with injuries, which include corner Denzel Ward who is dealing with a concussion, and Jadeveon Clowney, who is also questionable.
