A high profile non-conference matchup takes place Saturday afternoon with a matchup between the #13 Clemson Tigers (9-0, 5-4 ATS) and the Memphis Tigers (7-2, 5-4 ATS). Clemson just won a neutral site game against TCU up in Canada 74-66, winning outright at 2-point underdogs. Memphis is fresh off a strong road win over #21 Texas A&M, defeating the Aggies 81-75 and winning outright as 8-point dogs. These teams did not meet last season. Only seven teams in all of college basketball are still undefeated, and Clemson is a member of that prestigious club. They are not doing it with an easy schedule, KenPom has their non-conference schedule ranked as the 48th most difficult out of 362 teams. The Tigers have three wins where they were listed as the underdog, defeating Alabama, Pittsburgh and TCU when they were getting points. In the most recent game against TCU, Clemson was led by Syracuse-transfer Joe Girard III with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists in the win.

Clemson is led by their 6'10 center PJ Hall. Hall averages 20.1 PPG and 7.6 RPG, he is a skilled big man who can score inside and out, he has hit 17 three pointers on the season. Hall has scored 14 or more in every game this season, including a season high of 29 against Alcorn State. Joe Girard III is the top shooter on the team, he his 28 threes on the season so fa r, and is hitting 44.4% of his shots from deep. Girard III is averaging 15.1 PPG as a 6'2 scorer on the wing. Chase Hunter is the third scorer in double figures, the 6'4 guard adds 10.4 PPG and a team-high 3.6 APG. The top rebounder is 6'8 junior Ian Schieffelin with 9.6 boards per game to go with his 8.9 PPG.
