Clemson at Florida State Prediction – Basketball Picks 1/28/23

The Clemson Tigers will travel down to Tallahassee to take on the Florida State Seminoles in ACC play from Florida State leads the all-time series, 46-33, but the home team has won each of the past six meetings.

Clemson improved to 17-4 after beating Georgia Tech at home. The Tigers beat their second technical school in a row at home, out scoring the Yellow Jackets by double digits in both halves en route to a 21-point victory. Clemson scores 74.3 points per game, while allowing 66.1 ppg, and shooting 46.7% from the floor.

Clemson’s success on the gridiron has quietly rolled over to the gymnasium, and they’re off to one of their best starts in school history. The front court duo of Hunter Tyson and P.J. Hall has given the Tigers a talented size advantage each time out. Tyson, a fifth-year senior, has been unleashed and he’s on the shortlist for ACC POY after leading the Tigers in scoring (15.5) and rebounding (10.1). Hall, a 6’10 junior, scored a season-high 26 points in the win over Duke, and he’s second on the team at 14.2 ppg and 5.1 rpg. Clemson will have to play through the strength of their front court, as leading guards Chase Hunter (14.1 ppg) and Brevin Galloway (10.6 ppg) are both slated to miss this contest.
