The Cincinnati Bearcats have a shot to move up the AAC ladder on Tuesday night as they visit Tulane with just a game separating the two teams in the standings. Cincinnati has won two straight conference games including a 73-64 home win over the University of Central Florida on Saturday. Viktor Lakhin led the way with 20 points, including 18 in the second half, and eight rebounds. David DeJullus chipped in with 19 points and seven assists in the win. Cincinnati forced 24 turnovers in the win, including 16 steals.

“I'm really pleased that we won. I told the guys in the locker room that you've got to win games sometimes when things don't go your way and it kind of gets messed up out there and at the end there, it got a lot more interesting than I thought it needed to get and certainly give Johnny [Dawkins] and his group credit for kind of continuing to battle back because, we went up 15 and after we hit a thr ee to go up 15 and then I thought we forgot how to play basketball for a while. So, I wasn't pleased with that. I was really pleased with everything we did up to that point.” Cincinnati head coach Wes Miller said after the win.

The Bearcats have a chance to move into a tie with Tulane in the AAC standings with a critical road win in this spot. A win would complete a season-sweep of the Green Wave by Cincinnati after taking the opener, 87-77 in Cincinnati. The Bearcats are 57th in the nation in scoring offense this season and 164th in field goal percentage. They are 99th in 3pt shooting as well. Cincinnati is 25th in the country in fewest turnovers per game. The Bearcats are 111th in scoring defense and are ranked 78th in 3pt defense.
