The Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers face off on Saturday in an MLB showdown at American Family Field. On Friday it was the Brewers that were able to secure the 5-1 victory.
The Reds sit with a 42-63 record overall and they have lost two games in a row where the offense didn’t find much success. The Reds pitching has been the biggest issue this season giving up 5.19 runs per game which is 28th in the league. The offense hasn’t been much better averaging 4.32 runs per game. Kyle Farmer has been one of the only bright spots of the offense hitting six home runs and driven in 51 RBIs.
The Brewers sit with a 58-48 record overall and they bounded back well after being swept by the Pirates. The Brewers strength this season has been the offense and they are averaging 4.65 runs per game which is 6th best in the league. Rowdy Tellez has been the top player for the Brewers hitting 22 home runs and driving in 70 RBIs.
