The Cincinnati Bengals finished the 2021-22 NFL regular season 10-7 and won the AFC North title. The Bengals were defeated by the Los Angeles Rams 23-20 in Super LVI. The Bengals were the Cinderella Story of the NFL last season, but may find it very difficult to repeat that in 2022-23. The Bengals' passing attack with quarterback Joe Burrow was its strength although the offensive line gave up far too many sacks at 51.

The leading rusher returning from last season is Joe Mixon, who rushed for 1,205 yards and 13 touchdowns. Ja'Marr Chase is the top receiver returning from last season. In 2021, Chase led Cincinnati with 1,455 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns.
Trey Henderickson was the defensive leader with 14 sacks and is considered one of the NFL's top pass rushers. Sam Hubbard will start opposite Hendrickson while B.J. Hill and DJ Reader are tough in the middle of the line. Germaine Pratt and Logan Wilson lead a corps of young, talented linebackers.
