On Sunday, the White Sox bats were silenced in a 1-0 loss. The White Sox had just five hits in the game, all singles, and wasted a strong start by Micheal Kopech. Kopech gave up just two hits in six innings with three walks and five strikeouts and was touched up by a single run in the second inning on a sac fly.

The White Sox will send their ace to the mound on Monday afternoon to stop the team's slide. Cease has pitched 11.2 innings thus far in two starts, allowing just three hits and striking out 18 batters. He has a crisp 1.59 ERA through two games. Last season, on the road, Cease made 14 starts and went 8-4. He had an ERA of 2.00 while throwing 76.2 innings and allowing 55 hits. He had a K/9 ratio of 10.92 on the road as well.
