The veteran right-hander has put a difficult May behind him with back-to-back strong outings and has registered a 4.38 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP complemented by a 3-3 record in 74 innings on the season. Cease squandered six runs in 4.2 innings in his only career meeting against the Dodgers.
Chicago remains inconsistent. They had won two consecutive series but lost two of three home games to the Marlins this past weekend, squandering leads in the two defeats. They are now on a six-game road trek. They won their previous road series against the Yankees. Despite Chicago's struggles, they are only six games out of first in the AL Central.

Luis Robert Jr. is breaking out of a slump at the plate, bashing two homers and four RBIs in his last seven games. The 25-year-old slugger is having a marvelous season, bashing 15 homers with 34 RBIs accompanied by a solid .835 OPS. Robert Jr. only had one hit in three games against the Dodgers last season and went 0 for 3 in Tuesday's loss. Eloy Jimenez is on the IL.
The White Sox are scoring an average of 4.12 runs per game, ranking them 24th. The pitching is unreliable and has a 4.59 team ERA, pegging them 24th.
