The Citadel Bulldogs (9-13) will host the Chicago State Cougars (6-17) on Monday night in a non-conference game.
Chicago State is an Independent Division I program. They are rated 286th overall by KenPom, 327th in adjusted tempo and adjusted defensive efficiency, and 206th in adjusted offensive efficiency. There have been a lot of negatives this season, but Chicago State did play Stanford tough on Wednesday in a game that they held a seven-point lead in at halftime before losing 72-65.

On Saturday, Chicago State beat Division III Aurora 101-66. They are now 2-0 against non-Division I foes this season and 4-17 against Division I teams. The teams have performed well from the free-throw line where they rank in the top third nationally making 73.1% of their free throws. Sophomore Wesley Cardet Jr (17.1 ppg) leads the team in scoring, followed by 6'6 sophomore Jahsean Corbett with 13 ppg and a team-best 8.7 rebounds.
