The San Antonio Spurs play host to the Chicago Bulls on Friday night in a showdown from the Frost Bank Center. The Bulls enter with an 8-14 record, good for 12th in the Eastern Conference, while the Spurs have been one of the league's worst teams, limping along to a 3-17 record. In a pair of meetings last season, the two split the results, though the Bulls have to be thinking they can grab the win even despite being on the road. With both teams looking to change their fortunes and some young talent on the court, this still remains one that fans will want to tune in for.

The Bulls have out together a miserable record on the road this season and even though they'll be taking on a struggling San Antonio team, it still could be a challenge. They only have one road win this season and between injuries and an overall lack of consistency, wins have been tough to come by for this group. They finally look like they might be changing things though, as they've put together three wins in a row, which has helped stop a five-game losing streak that preceded it. The schedule doesn't get any easier coming up though and a win in this one is a must if they want to start creeping their way forward in the Eastern Conference race.

As mentioned earlier, injuries haven't been the kindest to this group. Zach LaVine (foot) expects to remain out into 2024, taking away one of their prime scoring threats. Add in Lonzo Ball's continued absence and what was once a pro mising starting lineup, has been cut into. With Torrey Craig and Alex Caruso questionable probable, they will have to eat up some minutes in this one.

The offense has struggled this season and even against a bad San Antonio defense, it seems unlikely that it changes. They rank 26th in field goal percentage and 28th in field goals made, while the three-point shot has been their only saving grace at times. The good news is that they don't turn the ball over but with offensive rebounding being another strength, that is likely to be neutralized in this one. Demar DeRozan (21.9 ppg) leads the way as he take son his former team but Nikola Vucevic (15.8 ppg, 10 rpg) has the ability to be the x-factor in this one. The big man has taken on a larger role of late and if he can dominate the paint, it will be a relief for Chicago's scoring outlook.
