Chicago will try to snap its two-game losing streak when it travels to Sacramento on Sunday night. The Bulls have lost three of their last four games, falling to 9-13 overall this season. Sacramento snapped its three-game losing streak with a 137-114 win over Indiana on Wednesday—this story was published prior to the Kings’ game against the Clippers on Saturday.
Chicago has struggled with consistency so far this season, going on multiple losing streaks in the opening month. The Bulls went on a four-game losing streak in the middle of November before winning back-to-back games against Boston and Milwaukee. They have lost three of their four games since then, with their lone win coming at Utah on Monday. Chicago is wrapping up a six-game road trip following losses to Phoenix and Golden State earlier this week. The Bulls were 7-point underdogs in their 119-111 loss to the Warriors on Friday night. Center Nikola Vucevic led Chicago with 23 points and 11 rebounds in a double-double effort.
Billy Donovan on mixing up the starting lineup: “I just wanted to take a look at something different and see what that would look like.”

The Bulls are playing shorthanded right now, as point guard Lonzo Ball has still not made his season debut due to a knee injury. Ball is still several months away from playing in a game this season, as he has not been able to run, jump or cut so far this year. Veteran wing DeMar DeRozan leads Chicago with 25.8 points, 4.7 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game. Shooting guard Zach LaVine is scoring 20.8 points, grabbing 4.4 rebounds and dishing out 4.3 assists, while Vucevic is averaging a double-double with 16.0 points and 11.2 rebounds. Chicago is No. 17 in the NBA in scoring (112.0), and it is facing a Sacramento defense that is No. 27 (117.2).
