The Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards duke it out at the Capital One Arena on Friday night.
The Chicago Bulls will be aiming to stay undefeated after outlasting the Heat in a 116-108 road win on opening night. DeMar DeRozan led the way with 37 points, six rebounds and nine assists, Ayo Dosunmu added 17 points while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 15 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks. As a team, the Bulls shot 44 percent from the field and 13 of 36 from the 3-point line as they leaked 33 points in the first quarter to fall behind early, before coming alive with 37 points in the third quarter behind a flurry from DeRozan.
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards will be gunning for their second straight victory after taking down the Pacers in a 114-107 road win on Wednesday. Bradley Beal led the team with 23 points and six assists, Kyle Kuzma added 22 points with 13 rebounds and two blocks while Kristaps Porzingis chipped in with 15 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Wizards shot 45 percent from the field and 11 of 31 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 36 points in the first quarter to take the early lead which ballooned to 18 points which allowed them to cruise in the second half.
