Two Western Conference teams headed in opposite directions, meet on the ice Monday when the Chicago Blackhawks (14-30-2, 30 points, 8th Central) pay a visit north of the border to the Vancouver Canucks (31-11-4, 66 points, 1st Pacific). The Chicago Blackhawks defeated the New York Islanders in overtime on Friday 4-3 but the Blackhawks have lost four of the last six. Vancouver defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-4 on Saturday night. The Canucks have won two straight and seven of the last eight. Chicago has a lengthy list of players out injured including Anthony Beavillier, Tyler Johnson, Nick Foligno, Connor Bedard and Taylor Hall amongst others. Vancouver will play without Phillip De Giuseppe, Guillaume Brisebois and Tucker Poolman.
