The Chicago Blackhawks face the Dallas Stars with both teams heading in opposite directions this season. The Blackhawks have an 11-22-1 record and are in last place in the Central Division. The Stars have a 20-9-4 record and with six wins in their last 10 games, they have the third-best record in the Central Division. Both teams look to improve in the division and the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a good one.

The Blackhawks are having a rough season with their offense struggling and scoring only 2.41 goals per game. Connor Bedard, Philipp Kurashev, and Nick Foligno have scored 29 goals and 40 assists but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only four skaters have scored seven goals or more and opposing defenses can eliminate the hapless offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has let the Blackhawks down, allowing 3.62 goals per game including 13 goals in the last three games. Alex Vlasic and Nikita Zaitsev have combined for 2.6 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will.
