Sunday Night Football features a matchup between two teams hungry for a win when the Chicago Bears (2-5, 2-4-1 ATS) travel to take on the Los Angeles Chargers (2-4, 2-4 ATS). The Bears and their backup quarterback are fresh off a 30-12 win over the Raiders, winning outright as 2.5 point underdogs. The Chargers lost and failed to cover on their visit to Kansas City, losing 31-17 as 5.5-point dogs. The Chargers are currently listed as 8.5-point home favorites. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 from SoFi stadium in Los Angeles, and can be found on NBC.

The Chicago Bears had to turn to their backup quarterback, Tyson Bagent, after Justin Fields was injured against Minnesota. In what might be Fields' worst nightmare, Bagent was better than anticipated in the 30-12 win over the Raiders. Bagent went 21-29, with 162 yards and a touchdown in the win. Bagent led the Bears to three touchdown drives, which was enough to win. After the game, running back D'Onta Foreman spoke about Bagent's performance saying, “I think he was just himself, nothing different and nothing any different than we have seen through preseason up until now”.

The Bears will likely call on Tyson Bagent to start again, as Fields is listed as doubtful with his thumb injury. Bagent will continue his audition for the Bears, and possibly the rest of the league if he continues to play well. DJ Moore has been the top skill player for Chicago this season, he is averaging 90. 9 yards per game, and has five touchdowns on the year. Cole Kmet is a strong tight end, usually called on for short passes across the middle, he adds another 34.3 YPG through the air, and has three touchdowns. Running back Khalil Herbert was sent to the IR due to an ankle injury. D'Onta Foreman steps in as the top back, last week he ran for 89 yards and two touchdowns against the Raiders.

Chicago ranks 13th in scoring in the league with 22.6 points per game. Their strength is their running game, where they rank 5th overall with 141.3 yards per game. Defensively the Bears rank back at 28th, allowing 26.9 points per game. Linebacker T.J. Edwards leads the team in tackles with 72 on the season. They have recorded just 10 sacks over seven games, with no player recording more than two sacks. The Bears have a -3 turnover differential, as they only have eight takeaways, but have turned it over 11 times.

Injury Report:

Out: G Nate Davis

Doubtful: QB Justin Fields (1,201 yards)

Questionable: S Jaquon Brisker (45 tackles), CB Terrell Smith (21 tackles), S Eddie Jackson (5 tackles), OT Darnell Wright
