The Charlotte 49ers will head to FAU Arena on Saturday afternoon in a Conference USA matchup against the Florida Atlantic Owls. The 49ers are 11-4 (2-2) right now and are coming off a 62-60 road loss on Thursday against the Florida International Panthers. The Owls are 13-1 (3-0) so far and are riding a massive 12-game winning streak after an 88-86 home win over the UAB Blazers on Thursday. These teams will also play on February 4 so this will be an interesting test to set the tone.

The Charlotte 49ers have been playing well, but lost on the road 62-60 against the Florida International Panthers. They struggled scoring in the second half as they finished with 27 points in the second half. They shot the ball very well as they were 21-of-55 (38.2 percent) overall, 7-of-22 (31.8 percent) from the three, and 14 free-throw attempts. Sophomore forward Aly Khalifa led the team as in 29 minutes he finished with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three turnovers. Defensively, they struggled a bit as they allowed 47.1 percent from the floor and 23.5 from deep here.
