The Charlotte Hornets head out on the road and that might be a good thing. They have lost five consecutive home games after back-to-back defeats by the Celtics this past weekend. Charlotte lost 122-106 against Boston on Saturday and were 8.5 point dogs in a 130-118 loss in Monday’s rematch. It’s been a disastrous season for the Hornets who have dealt with injuries and have not been able to generate enough offense to win games. They have not covered in four straight clashes.
LaMelo Ball has been outstanding recently, recording at least 24 points in four consecutive games. The 21-year-old point guard scored 25 on Monday and has increased his season average to 24 PPG and a remarkable 8.4 APG. Terry Rozier has reached 20 points in all but two games this month. The 28-year-old shooting guard is posting an average of 20.8 PPG on 41% shooting. Kelly Oubre Jr. remains out of action. It& #x2019;s a big scoring void as he is averaging 20.2 PPG. Jalen McDaniels has connected on 50% of his field goals in back-to-back games. The 24-year-old power forward has filed an average of 11.2 PPG and 4.9 RPG.

The Hornets have dropped four out of their last five road games with the only victory occurring against the Bucks earlier this month. Charlotte is a poor 2-8 in their last ten games overall. They are only averaging 112.2 points on the season, ranking them 22nd. The defense has been exploited, conceding at least 122 points in four straight games, and is squandering an average of 118.9 points, pegging them 28th in the NBA.
