The Charlotte Hornets and the Washington Wizards duke it out at the Capital One Arena on Sunday night.
The Charlotte Hornets have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost 13 of their first 17 games overall and they will be hoping to snap a two-game skid after getting stopped by the Cavaliers in a 132-122 double overtime loss on Friday. Kelly Oubre Jr. led the team with 34 points, Terry Rozier and PJ Washington scored 28 points each while Gordon Hayward chipped in with 13 points and seven assists. As a team, the Hornets shot just 40 percent from the field and 14 of 44 from the 3-point line as they rallied all the way back from a 16-point lead in regulation, only to get blown out in the second overtime period.
Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been in great form as they’ve won five of their past six games overall and they will be looking to stay hot after beating the Heat in a 107-106 overtime win on Friday. Bradley Beal led the team with 27 points and eight assists, Kyle Kuzma added 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists while Kristaps Porzingis racked up 20 points with 17 rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Wizards shot 42 percent from the field and 15 of 46 from the 3-point line as they held the Heat to just 35 points in the second half to overcome a 15-point deficit, before they scraped by in the overtime period where they held the Heat to just two points.
