Central Connecticut State at Wagner – 1/20/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Central Connecticut State Blue Devils will head down to Staten Island and face the Wagner Seahawks in Northeast Conference play from the Spiro Sports Center on the NEC. This will mark the 40th time Wagner and CCSU face off, and the Seahawks hold an all-time series lead of, 25-14.

Central Connecticut State dropped to 4-15 after losing to Fairleigh Dickinson at home. The Blue Devils and the Knights found themselves in a shootout, and FDU would come away with the eight-point victory. CCSU scores 65.3 points per game, while allowing 70.9 ppg, and shooting 42.1% from the field.

Central Connecticut State is in the midst of another tough season, and at 4-15, there’s little optimism for a turnaround at this point. Binghamton transfer Kellen Amos went for a career-high 36 points in the win over St. Francis (NY), and he leads the Blue Devils in scoring (15.2). Nigel Scantlebury led the team with 23 points last time out versus FDU to bring his season average to 10.3 ppg.
