The NBA Conference Finals have been very straightforward so far. Both the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks hold 3-0 series leads. Considering no side has ever squandered such a lead in league history, they look set to battle it out in the NBA Finals. Before then, the Indiana Pacers will have another shot to try and avoid a series sweep. You can check out all of our NBA picks for every game of the conference finals, but for now, let's jump into my Game 4 Celtics vs Pacers Same Game Parlay.
Over 222.5 (-112)
Each of the first 3 games of the series has seen the teams combine for more than 223 points. While the Pacers may continue to be without the services of Tyrese Haliburton, the Celtics will definitely be without Kristaps Porzingis. The Pacers managed 68 paint points in Game 3. Without the rim protection from the Latvian, the Pacers should be able to maintain that success. With the pressure the Celtics backcourt are able to apply, they are able to force turnovers and help the visitors get out in transition. Of all conference finals teams they lead in fast break points per game. They also lead in true shooting percentage, which is currently at 61.5% this series. That is above their own league leading average during the regular season. With the teams in such form, back the over tonight.
Pascal Siakam to record 6+ assists (+230)
The Pacers will continue to turn to Pascal Siakam, if Haliburton plays or not. The Cameroonian is an established passer for a forward, and has recorded 6 or more assists in 2 of the 3 games of the series so far. With the level of perimeter defenders they Celtics have, and their lack of a natural matchup for Siakam, look for him to keep applying the pressure on the paint. He has made at least 50% of his attempts in each game this series. The Celtics will have to send help his way, which should allow him to dip into his playmaking bag once more tonight. The Pacers are the leaders this postseason in assist percentage, meaning they are more than adept at taking advantage of catch and shoot opportunities. It should help Siakam rack up assists once more tonight.
Al Horford over 2.5 made threes (+154)
All Horford has been crucial to the Celtics floor spacing efforts. While kept largely quite from deep in Game 2, Horford had 12 attempts in each of the other games. For a 41.9% shooter from beyond the arc this season, that level of attempts sets him up perfectly to hit this over. The visitors will need him to do the same tonight, as he is able to pull Myles Turner away from the paint, limiting his ability to be a distributor at the rim. So far this series he is playing 33.3 minutes per game, more than in any other this postseason. With Porzingis remaining out, playing time should not be a problem for the veteran. He has also not had more than 2 personal fouls in any of the first 3 games. His ability to stay on the floor should help ensure he gets the opportunity to stay on the court and provide spacing. The Pacers will feel he is unlikely to recreate his 7 makes from Game 3, and are likely to be happy to have him shoot instead of the likes of Tatum. Back the over as a result.
