Cavaliers at Celtics Prediction – NBA Picks 3/1/23

The Cleveland Cavaliers invade the TD Garden to do battle with the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after making light work of the Raptors in a 118-93 home win on Sunday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 35 points on 13 of 21 shooting, Jarrett Allen added 23 points with 11 rebounds on 10 of 13 shooting while Evan Mobley and Darius Garland each scored 18 points. As a team, the Cavaliers shot 52 percent from the field and 18 of 36 from the 3-point line as they caught fire from behind the arc right away and outpaced the Raptors in every quarter to earn the big win and snap a three-game skid.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics have been in red-hot form as they’ve won nine of their last 12 games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back here after having their three-game win streak halted by the Knicks in a 109-94 road loss on Monday. Malcolm Brogdon led the team with 22 points on 10 of 16 shooting off the bench, Marcus Smart added 19 points while Jayson Tatum chipped in with just 14 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the Celtics shot 44 percent from the field and nine of 42 from the 3-point line, but they got off to a terrible start and scored just 15 points in the first quarter which had them trailing the Knicks the entire contest. Tatum had himself a quiet game of just 14 points on six of 18 shooting before getting ejected after receiving a second technical foul.
