Carolina Panthers vs. Baltimore Ravens Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-20-2022

NFL Round Table Show

This Sunday, the (3-7) Carolina Panthers will travel to Baltimore, MD to take on the (6-3) Baltimore Ravens. Kickoff will be at 1:00 PM EST inside M&T Bank Stadium. The Panthers and the Ravens picked up a win in week 10, and they will both be looking to do the same in this one.

The Carolina Panthers are coming into this one after taking down the Atlanta Falcons, 25-15. Carolina looked great on both sides of the field, as they continued to run the ball down Atlanta's throat. They will need to carry that momentum over into this game if they want to challenge the Ravens on the road.

The Baltimore Ravens are entering this matchup after taking down the New Orleans Saints, 27-13. Baltimore dominated the Saints in that game, as they efficiently ran the ball all over the Saints. They will need to replicate that performance in this one if they want to defend their home field.

The Carolina Panthers dominated the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday Night last week and they will be looking to win back-to-back games in this one. On offense, the Panthers are scoring 20.4 points per game and averaging 294.2 total yards. This is the 23rd most points scored per game and the 30th most yards. Carolina has had to lean on their rushing attack, as they are only throwing for 176.2 passing yards per game. This is the 28th most passing yards averaged per week, as their quarterbacks have continued to struggle. Walker was injured last week, as I would now expect Baker Mayfield to start in his place. Mayfield has thrown for six touchdowns and four interceptions this season. He will look to get the ball to DJ Moore, as he has recorded 478 yards and three touchdowns. The Panthers are also running for 118 yards per game, which is the 16th most in the NFL. D'Onta Foreman is the lead back for Carolina, as he has erupted since the Panthers traded McCaffery. He has recorded 426 yards and four touchdowns this season. Last week, he ran for 130 yards and a touchdown against the Falcons.

On the defensive side of the field, the Panthers have struggled through the first 10 weeks of the season. They are allowing 24.3 points per game and 362.4 total yards. This is the 24th most points given up per contest and the 25th most total yards. Their front seven has continued to struggle, as they are having a difficult time stopping the run. The Panthers are allowing 139.2 rushing yards per game, which is the 25th most in the NFL. Shaq Thompson continues to lead this defense, as he has recorded 77 total tackles this season. Last week, he recorded eight tackles against the Falcons. Carolina is also surrendering 223.2 passing yards, as this is the 20th most passing yards allowed per game.

Injury Report: Donte Jackson CB (Achilles) is out for the season and PJ Walker QB is out (Ankle). Matt Lo annidis DT (Calf), Daviyon Nixon DT (Illness), Taylor Moton T (Elbow), Marquand McCall (Illness), Juston Buris S (Head), and Rashard Higgins WR (Illness) are listed as questionable.
