The Hurricanes are having a great season with their offense carrying them, scoring 3.60 goals per game. Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Teuvo Teravainen, and Seth Jarvis have scored 16 goals and 12 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has been great as well. Martin Necas, Michael Bunting, and Stefan Neosen have combined for nine goals and 16 assists while defensemen Jaccob Slavin and Brady Skjei have added four goals and 10 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.70 goals per game. While Slavin and Skjei have combined for 1.3 defensive point shares, the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. Additionally, goaltender Frederik Andersen has struggled with a .888 save percentage and a 3.06 goals-against average on 116 shots.
