The Carolina Hurricanes face the Detroit Red Wings with both teams heading in opposite directions to close out the season. Brent Burns and Brett Pesce have combined for 9.9 defensive point shares and 182 blocked shots while Brady Skjei, Jaccob Slavin, and Jalen Chatfield have combined for 13.1 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. The hope is that goaltender Frederik Andersen can finish the season strong as he has a .904 save percen tage and a 2.45 goals-against average on 717 shots with -0.2 goals saved above average.
