The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.02 goals per game including five goals in their recent loss. Brent Burns and Jaccob Slavin have combined for 6.2 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease. In addition, goaltender Antti Raanta has struggled with a .866 save percentage and a 3.20 goals-against average on 448 shots with -16.8 goals saved above average.
