Carolina Hurricanes at St. Louis Blues – 12/1/22 NHL Picks and Prediction

The Carolina Hurricanes and St. Louis Blues face off on Thursday in an NHL showdown at the Enterprise Center. When these two teams faced off in March it was the Hurricanes that secured the 7-2 victory.

The Hurricanes come into this game with a 12-6-5 record and they have gone 7-3-4 away from home. In the last game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, it took overtime to get the job done, but they were able to secure a 3-2 victory. Brett Pesce had a solid game finishing with a goal and an assist. Carolina is averaging 2.69 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.74 goals per game. The offense hasn’t been great, but the defense has been strong and is ranked 8th. Martin Necas is having a big season scoring 11 goals and adding 14 assists.

On the other side of this matchup is the Blues who sit with an 11-11-0 record but they are coming off a disappointing loss. The offense only managed one goal, and that led to three-goal defeat by the Dallas Stars. The Blues are averaging 2.82 goals while their defense is giving up 3.55 goals per game. The offense is ranked 24th while the defense is ranked 25th. Robert Thomas is having a nice season and has scored four goals and added 15 assists. In this game the offense needs to find a way to get going.
