Carolina Hurricanes at New Jersey Devils – 1/1/23 NHL Picks and Prediction

The Carolina Hurricanes and New Jersey Devils face off on Sunday in an NHL showdown at the Prudential Center. When these two teams faced off on December 20th it was the Hurricanes that secured the 4-1 victory.

On Friday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Devils were able to secure a 4-2 victory. Jack Hughes had a big game finishing with two goals. Dougie Hamilton finished with one goal and one assist. The Devils are averaging 3.33 goals while their defense is giving up 2.56 goals per game. The defense is third best in the NHL and the offense is ranked 8th. Hughes has scored 20 goals and added 21 assists. In this game the Devils need the offense to get out to a fast start.
