Last night, the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals became the fourth and fifth teams to clinch division titles, leaving the NL East, which is now tied, as the only division yet to be decided.
However, there's plenty left to be decided with the wild-card spots in both the American League and National League. And with the NL Central title now locked up, the Cardinals can play their part in the NL wild card race tonight as they wrap up their season series against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Last night's 6-2 loss to St. Louis counts as another missed opportunity, but tha nks to a little help from the Chicago Cubs, the Brew Crew is still 1.5 games back of the Philadelphia Phillies for the final NL wild-card spot.
