California Golden Bears (3-13) vs. Washington State Cougars (7-10)

The college basketball betting action continues Wednesday, January 11, with the California Golden Bears taking on the Washington State Cougars in the Pac-12 Conference showdown at Friel Court at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, Washington.

The tip-off is set for 11:00 PM ET, and the Cougars open as 11.5-point home favorites with a total of 128.0 points. Washington State searches for its sixth straight victory over Cal, but the Cougars haven’t covered the spread in three meetings with the Golden Bears in a row.

The California Golden Bears improved to 3-13 SU and 7-9 ATS on the season following a 92-70 dismantling of the Stanford Cardinal this past Friday. It was the second straight victory and the third in four games for the resurrecting Golden Bears, who were scoring at will against Stanford. Cal made 59.3% of its field goals and a whopping 16 triples out of 22 attempts from deep (72.7%) while posting a 21/10 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Junior guard Devin Askew (16.1 PPG this season) missed his second straight game due to an undisclosed injury, so senior guard Dejuan Clayton led the way for California with 26 points and six assists. Senior forward Kuany Kuany posted a line of 18 points, five rebounds, three assists, and a block, while sophomore forward Sam Alajiki notched 19 po ints off the bench.

Cal is now 2-3 in the conference play and occupies the eighth spot in the Pac-12 Conference. The Golden Bears score 100.2 points per 100 possessions (225th in the country) and surrender 102.6 points in return (171st). They make just 5.1 threes per contest (348th) on a 31.4 percentage clip (314th). California is No. 249 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 203 in the KenPom rankings.
