A pair of teams that are extremely familiar with each other take the floor in search of a victory in the Golden State. The Cal Golden Bears make the short trip as they travel to take on the Stanford Cardinal Saturday night. Cal was drubbed 68-48 at home by Oregon State in their previous game Sunday in their previous game, losing outright as a 3.5-point favorite. Stanford beat Chicago State 72-65 at home Wednesday night in their most recent game though they failed to cover as an 18.5-point favorite in the game. In the all-time series between the teams, the Golden Bears own a 92-78 edge and have won the last two meetings. That includes a 92-70 road win in the first meeting this season on January 6.

Cal saw their losing skid reach four games as they were drubbed at home by Oregon State in their most recent game. The Golden Bears fell to 3-17 overall and stand tied for 10th in the conference standings with a 2-7 mark on the season. Against Oregon State, Cal led by one with 4:30 to play in the first half before giving up a 13-0 run that left them down 27-15 at the half. The Golden Bears were outscored 12-5 to start the second half to go down 19 and never got closer than 11 the rest of the way. Cal shot only 37.5% from the field, including three of 15 from three-point range, and allowed Oregon State to shoot 54% in the game. Kuany Kuany led the Golden Bears with 15 points in the loss.
