The Cal Golden Bears and USC Trojans face off on Saturday in a college football showdown at the LA Memorial Coliseum. When these two teams faced off last year it was Cal that secured the 24-14 victory.
The Cal Golden Bears come into this game with a 3-5 record overall and they have lost four games in a row. In the last game against Oregon the defense held up for about a quarter, but the Ducks offense was just too much and they ended up losing 42-24. Jack Plummer completed 20 of his 33 passes for 214 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Cal is averaging 23.4 points while their defense is giving up 25 points per game. Running back Jaydn Ott has had a nice season rushing 117 times for 675 yards and five touchdowns.
On the other side of this matchup is the USC Trojans who sit with a 7-1 record overall and they have gone 5-3 against the spread. In the last game against Arizona, it was a little closer than they hoped, but the offense scored 45 points. Caleb Williams completed 31 of his 45 passes for 411 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Travis Dye is having a big season and they have rushed 20 times for 113 yards and one touchdown. USC is averaging 41 points while their defense is giving up 24 points per game.
