The NHL betting action continues Wednesday, December 28, 2022, when the Calgary Flames face off against the Seattle Kraken in the Pacific Division showdown at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, with the puck drop at 10:00 PM ET.

Just before the Christmas break, Calgary finished a four-game road trip with a 3-2 overtime victory against the Anaheim Ducks. The Flames blew a one-goal lead twice, outshooting the Ducks 45-23 in the process. Michael Stone and Brett Ritchie found the back of the net in regulation, while Rasmus Andersson scored the winner after 2:24 of play in overtime.

Jacob Markstrom posted 21 saves against the Ducks, improving to 11-8-4 with a 2.84 GAA and .894 save percentage on the season. He was confirmed for Tuesday’s clash versus Edmonton, so Dan Vladar might get the starting call Wednesday. Vladar is 5-4-3 with a 2.90 GAA and .903 save percentage in 2022-23.
The Flames rank 16th in the NHL in goals against (3.03 per game) and 18th in goals for (3.11). They are 23-for-118 with the man advantage (23rd in the league). Elias Lindholm leads the way for Calgary with 11 goals and 21 assists, while Tyler Toffoli has accounted for 14 goals and 14 assists so far this season.
