Calgary Flames (7-9-3) vs. Dallas Stars (12-4-2)

The NHL betting action goes on Friday, November 24, with the Calgary Flames facing off against the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference showdown at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, with the puck drop at 8:30 PM ET.

Calgary and Dallas continue their three-game regular-season series, and the Stars aim for their third straight win over the Flames. Dallas is a firm -170 moneyline fave with a total of 6.0 goals, so let’s take a closer look.

The Calgary Flames have dropped four of their last seven games overall. They’ve earned three points over the last three contests, sandwiching a 4-3 overtime win against the Seattle Kraken with a 5-4 shootout loss to the New York Islanders and a 4-2 defeat at the Nashville Predators.

Last Wednesday, the Flames were outshot by the Predators 45-26. Despite being listed as -115 road favorites, the Flames didn’t stand a chance against the Preds, who went 1-for-5 with the man advantage. Calgary failed to score on four power-play opportunities and committed a whopping 18 giveaways.

The Flames score just 2.84 goals per game (tied-26th in the NHL) and surrender 3.37 goals in retur n (22nd). Jacob Markstrom has guarded the cage in four of Calgary’s last five contests, and the 33-year-old goalie should get another starting call Friday in Dallas. Markstrom is 4-7-2 with a 2.85 GAA and a .904 save percentage this season.
