The 2022-23 NHL season goes on with a 11-game Saturday card and brings this Western Conference clash from Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado as the Calgary Flames take on the Colorado Avalanche at 10:00 p.m. ET.

This is the third meeting between the teams this season, with the clubs splitting the first two games, both in Calgary. The Avalanche defeated the Flames on January 18, 4-1. Colorado was the underdog in that contest (+129) with the total set at 6.0. The Avalanche enter this contest as the favorite (-135).

The Calgary Flames lost in overtime to the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday, 4-3. This contest is the final game of a three-game road trip that has seen the club go 1-0-1 through the first two contests. They have outscored opponents 9-7 in those two games. Calgary is third in the Western Conference standings, trailing Colorado by one game, but the Avalanche have played four fewer games. The Flames are 12-9-10 on the road.

Dan Vladar stopped 25 shots in the loss. It will be Jacob Markstrom between the pipes for this contest. Markstrom is 15-14-7 with a 2.93 GAA and a .889 save percentage. Markstrom has allowed at least four goals in four of his last six starts. The Flames are 15th in goals allowed per game (3.05) and 13th in penalty killing (81.0%).
