The Calgary Flames face the Arizona Coyotes with both teams looking to improve on rough seasons. Jonathan Huberdeau, Dillon Dube, and Mikael Backlund have combined for 45 goals and 81 assists while defenseman Rasmus Andersson has added nine goals and 32 assists from the point to open up the offense.
The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.00 goals per game. Rasmus Andersson and Noah Hanifin have combined for 7.6 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender Jacob Markstrom has struggled with a .895 save percentage and a 2.83 goals-against average on 1201 shots with -1 2.1 goals saved above average.
