The 2022-23 NHL season goes on with a 13-game Tuesday card and brings this Western Conference clash between the Calgary Flames and the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center in Anaheim California. This contest starts at 10:00 p.m. ET.

This is the third meeting between these teams this season, with the road team winning each of the first two contests. That includes a 3-2 victory in overtime for Calgary in Anaheim back on December 23. The Flames were -206 favorites and that contest with the total set at 6.0.

The Calgary Flames lost to the Dallas Stars in overtime on Saturday, 6-5. This will be the second contest of a two-game road trip for the team as they play on back-to-back nights, taking on Los Angeles on Tuesday. Calgary has played well on the road so far this month, going 3-0-1 and they are 15-10-11 overall. The Flames are battling for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, four points behind Winnipeg.

Calgary scored three unanswered goals in the second period to rally from a two-goal deficit and was leading with eight minutes left in the contest, but Dallas scored the tying goal and Jason Robertson scored the game-winner with just 13 seconds left in overtime to give Dallas the victory. Rasmus Andersson and Mackenzie Weegar each had a goal and two assists for the Flames. Andersson now has eight points over his last five games. The Flames are 18th in goals per game (3.13) and 22nd on the power-play at (19.5%). They have been struggling offensively in recent weeks, connecting on 13.6% of their power-play opportunities and averaging 3.00 goals over their last 10 games.

With Jacob Markstrom likely going on Tuesday, it will be Dan Vlader (12-6-5, 2.95, .895) getting the call on Wednesday. Vlader has allowed 16 total goals over his last five games. That includes a performance where he allowed two goals on just five shots to Boston on February 28. Calgary is 15th in goals-against average (3.04) and eighth in penalty killing (82.3%). The Calgary penalty killing has been very good of late, allowing just two goals in their last 28 shorthanded situations.
