Calgary Flames (15-12-6) vs. Anaheim Ducks (9-22-3)

The Calgary Flames head to Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on Friday night to start their four-game regular-season series against the lowly Anaheim Ducks, and the puck drop is set for 10:30 PM ET.

The Flames search for their fourth consecutive victory over the Ducks. They open as firm -205 moneyline favorites with a total of 6.0 goals, while the Ducks sit at +185 moneyline odds.

Thursday’s contests have been excluded from this preview, and the 15-12-6 Calgary Flames visited the Los Angeles Kings, aiming for their third victory in a row. Over their previous two showings, the Flames have played the Sharks at SAP Center at San Jose, earning a couple of comfortable victories, 5-2 and 7-3.

Elias Lindholm scored a pair of goals and had an assist in that 5-2 win over San Jose this past Sunday. Two days later, Lindholm chipped in with three dishes, while Nazem Kadri and Tyler Toffoli accounted for two goals apiece. The game was tied at 3-3 before the Flames notched four unanswered goals in the third period.

Elias Lindholm won three faceoffs clean in a row, and our defense jumped, and away we went,” Calgary coach Darryl Sutter said

Jacob Markstrom has posted 24 saves in each of those two games against the Sharks. He’s improved to 10-8-4 with a 2.88 GAA and .893 save percentage on the season, while Dan Vladar sat at 5-4-2 with a 2.81 GAA and .905 save percentage on Thursday. The Flames haven’t announced who’ll guard the cage Friday in Anaheim. Calgary allows 3.03 goals per game (tied-15th in the NHL) and scores 3.12 in a return (18th).
