BYU at Boise State – 11/5/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The BYU Cougars and Boise State Broncos face off on Saturday in a college football showdown at Albertson’s Stadium. Boise State has won four of the last six games against BYU.

BYU comes into this game with a 4-5 record overall and they have lost four games in a row. Early in the season, there was talk about the Cougars being a playoff team, but those hopes have long faded. In the last game against East Carolina, they were competitive, but couldn’t score any points in the 4th quarter and ended up losing 27-24. Under center for BYU was Jaren Hall and he threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns. BYU is averaging 29.4 points while their defense is giving up 31.1 points per game. The defense hasn’t been good enough, and that needs to be the strength in this game.

On the other side of this matchup is Boise State who sits with a 6-2 record overall and they are coming off another blowout victory in the last game. Boise State scored 49 points against Colorado State, and that led to a 39-point victory. Taylen Green completed 24 of his 30 passes for 305 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. George Holani finished with 21 carries for 108 yards and three touchdowns. Boise State on the season is averaging 28.9 points while their defense is giving up 17.4 points per game. The defense is ranked 12th best in all of college football.
