The DePaul Blue Demons host the Butler Bulldogs Wednesday in a Big East battle.  DePaul is 9-18 overall and 3 -13 in the Big East while Butler is 13-15 overall and 5-12 in the Big East. Butler has won 6 straight over DePaul, including as 78-70 win earlier this season. Tipoff is at 8:30 p.m. EST at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

Butler has experienced the highs and the lows of Big East basketball in recent weeks. Two weeks ago, they had the best week imaginable, beating St. John's and then hanging a loss on the conference's best team, Xavier, in a stunning upset. But then last week, they lost at Villanova, and then fell, at home on Saturday, to the league's worst team, Georgetown, by the score of 68-62.

It was the Hoyas first road win in their last 23 tries, dating back to last season. Jayden Taylor led Butler with 21 points and 4 rebounds with 3 three pointers. Ali Ali and Simas Lukosius each tossed in 11 points for the Bulldogs. Georgetown pounded Butler on the glass, out rebounding them 42-26. The loss dropped them to 13-15 overall and 5-12 in the Big East. Butler is now ranked No. 117th in the KenPom power rankings.
