Butler at Georgetown – 1/1/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Butler Bulldogs will head to DC and meet the Georgetown Hoyas in Big East play from the Capital One Arena on FS1. Georgetown and Butler have met 20 times, with each school coming away with 10 wins.

Butler dropped to 8-6 after losing to Providence in Indianapolis. The Bulldogs have fallen victim to Big East play early, and they’d suffer their third straight 20-point defeat. Butler is scoring 69.9 points per game, while allowing 65.3 ppg, and shooting 47.1% from the floor.

Butler will look to big things up after three pedestrian performances,  Chuck Harris scored a season-high 32 points versus Tennessee Tech, and he leads Butler in scoring (13.9). Sophomore guard Jayden Taylor has reached double figures in seven of the last ten games, including a 20-point outing in the win over BYU, and he’s up to 12.6 ppg. Manny Bates has made his presence felt after coming over from N.C. State in the front court. The 6’11 center double-doubled in the win over KState, and he’s leading the Bulldogs in rebounding (6.2), while scoring 13.4 ppg.
