The Celtics are no longer favored to win the Eastern Conference, but I still have faith in them to do it

The NBA playoffs are finally here and the Celtics are getting ready to take on the Atlanta Hawks in the first round.'
The Celtics are no longer the favorites to win the NBA Finals, nor the favorites to take the Eastern Conference. The Bucks are currently favored to do both at BetMGM. But I still have confidence in the Celtics to win not just the Eastern Conference, but also go on to win the NBA title.'
As one of my first ever in-person legal bets, I placed $10 on the Celtics at +190 to win the Eastern Conference and I still love this bet and think they will do this.'Because they need it.
After the season this Celtics team has put together, with their 57-25 record, it would be an extreme disappointment for them to fall a part in the playoffs and not come out of this as champions.
The Celtics haven't won a championship since 2008 and the time between then and now is a pretty big drought around Boston. Even Rajon Rondo said on ESPN's First Take on Tuesday it would be more disappointing if his former team didn't win a championship this year than if the Bucks didn't.'
“It's called Titletown, Beantown, they expect a win” Rondo said. “It's been a very long time since they hoisted that trophy, so going back to the Finals after last year and not getting it done, that's not gonna work. We don't hang Eastern Conference banners in Boston.”
Exactly. Especially after losing to the Warriors in the Finals last season, the Celtics absolutely need to not only get back there this year, but they also need to win the whole shebang.'
