Chris Sale might not be completely back, but he is certainly showing signs of getting there.'

After making his return to the mound on April 1 in what he said after was “about as embarrassed that I've ever been on a baseball field,” he followed up with a better outing on Thursday against the Tigers that left him with an 11.25 ERA. But it was encouraging nonetheless.'

He began the game with walking the first two batters before following up with three straight strikeouts. He then ended the outing after five innings and having given up three runs and four hits, including a home run.'

But he showed improvement from his first start. This one was not a complete disaster. I would call this encouraging for Sale. He still has a little rust on him, but I think this is a great indication that he will just keep ge tting better.'Plus, he has hit the over on his strikeout prop in both of his outings so far. So that's a win.

Sale's AL Cy Young odds at BetMGM are +8000 and he is certainly in the conversation for Comeback Player of the Year. While I don't see a Cy Young award for him this season, I think he's going to make an excellent case for Comeback Player.'

And based on how Thursday's start went, he is on his way.'
