The 3-3 Buffalo Bulls will travel to Amherst, MA to take on FBS Independent school UMass on Saturday. The Bulls have won three straight games after a sluggish start and look to push past .500 with a win over the Minutemen. UMass has struggled this season and sit at just 1-5 after a 42-24 home loss to Liberty on Saturday. The opening kick for this matchup is set for 1:00pm EST this Saturday.

The University of Buffalo football squad has managed to completely flip their season around and improved to 3-3 with an easy win over Bowling Green on Saturday, 38-7, after starting the season 0-3. More importantly, the Bulls are now 3-0 in MAC play this season and sit atop the conference standings. A 31-0 halftime lead was more than enough for Buffalo to earn their third-straight win and pull even at .500 for the season.

The Bulls did the most of their damage on the ground on Saturday afternoon, gaining 280 yards rushing. It was the highest run total of the season for the Bulls. Running back Mike Washington ran for a career-high 155 yards on 16 carries and added two touchdowns. Fellow back Ron Cook Jr. chipped in with 89 yards rushing and two scores of his own. Quarterback Cole Snyder was an efficient 12-of-19 passing for 171 yards passing without an interception. Overall, the Bulls had 466 yards of total offense, av eraging 6.5 yards per play. They did fumble the ball three times but were lucky enough to recover two of those fumbles.

Defensively, the Bulls were extremely opportunistic as they forced four Bowling Green turnover. They had one interception and three fumble recoveries on the day including a 97-yard scoop and core by linebacker James Patterson in the third quarter. Buffalo allowed 380 yards of total offense at 5.3 yards per play. Buffalo had five tackles for loss on the day and four sacks.

Buffalo has been middle of the road on both sides of the ball this season but their numbers have drastically improved after their 0-3 start. Offensively, the Bulls are ranked 50th in the country in scoring offense. The Bulls are ranked 67th in rushing offense this season and just 84th passing. As they showed this past week, however, the team's ground game is on the rise. In the turnover department, Buffalo is ranked 24th in the country in turnover differential. On the defensive side of the ball, the Bulls are ranked 52nd in scoring defense overall. They are also ranked 52nd against the run and 60th against the pass this season. It is important to note that Buffalo has allowed under 20 points per game during their 3-0 run through the MAC thus far.
