The Buffalo Sabres face the Winnipeg Jets with both teams having promising seasons. The Sabres have a 25-19-3 record and with four wins in a row have leaped to the middle of the Atlantic Division. The Jets have a 31-17-1 record and with two wins in their last three games are near the top of the Central Division. Both teams look to continue to improve within their respective conferences and the upcoming game looks to be a great one as a result.

The Sabres are having a promising season with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.81 goals per game with 14 goals in the last three games. Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch, and Jeff Skinner have scored 76 goals and 91 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also been great. Dylan Cozens, Victor Olofsson, and Casey Mittelstadt have combined for 46 goals and 53 assists while defensemen Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power have added 16 goals and 55 assists from the point to put the offense over the top.

The offense has been great but the defense has been awful, allowing 3.40 goals per game. Rahlin and Power have combined for 5.7 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has been awful, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will.
