The Buffalo Sabres face the San Jose Sharks in a matchup between two struggling teams. The Sabres have a 21-23-4 record which is the second-worst in the Atlantic Division. The Sharks have a 13-31-4 record and are in last place in the Pacific Division but they’ve won three consecutive games. Both teams are looking to climb out of the bottom of their divisions and the upcoming game looks to be a good one.

The Sabres are having a rough season with their offense struggling and scoring only 2.94 goals per game. Casey Mittelstadt, Jeff Skinner, and John-Jason Peterka have scored 45 goals and 60 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only six skaters have 10 goals or more and opponents can limit the top-heavy offense as a result.
