The Rider Broncs hope to get off to a good start in the MAAC and return to .500 on the season with a win over Canisius on Saturday. Rider has lost two out of three heading into this game, including a 78-72 loss at Georgia in their last contest. The Broncs fell behind by as much as 20 points before making a stirring comeback that fell just short in a 78-72 loss. Mervin James led the way with 14 points an eight rebounds in a game in which Rider shot just 44% but out-rebounded Georgia 41-35.
