Bryant at Vermont – 1/5/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Bryant Bulldogs will head up to Burlington to battle the Vermont Catamounts in American East play from the Patrick Gymnasium on ESPNU. This will mark the first of many times these two schools will face off in the coming years, as Bryant completed it’s move to American East this past Spring.

Bryant moved to 10-4 after beating Binghamton at home. The Bulldogs and the Bearcats found themselves in a shootout, and the host would pull away with a late rally, 82-78. Bryant is scoring 85.5 points per game, while allowing 73.4 ppg, while shooting 46.4% from the floor.

Bryant plays at one of the fastest paces in the country, and they’ve been powered by their transfer portal pickups. Sherif Gross-Bullock (La Salle) went for a season-high 29 points in the win over Binghamton last time out, and he’s posting nice averages of 17.1 ppg, 4.4 rpg, and 3.4 apg. Earl Timberlake (Memphis) has four double-doubles and he leads the team in rebounding (8.1), while scoring 15.7 ppg. Three-year starter Cameron Pride remains in the fold for the Bulldogs, and he’s scoring 14.5 ppg, while grabbing 6.4 rpg. URI transfer Antwan Walker (13.1 ppg, 6.6 rpg) adds even more fuel to the fire, and he double-doubled against power 5 schools Cinci and Syracuse.
